Chronic Pain Management
Persistent back and neck pain, cervicogenic headaches and sciatica — treatment aimed at the cause rather than the painkiller.
About this service
Pain lasting more than three months behaves differently from acute pain. The nervous system becomes more sensitive, muscles guard in response, and reduced movement compounds the problem. Treatment here is not simply pain relief — the goal is to break that cycle and rebuild normal movement gradually.

How treatment works
- 1
Finding the source
Clinical examination to establish whether pain is coming from the joint, the muscle, or nerve compression — each needs an entirely different treatment.
- 2
Reducing pain
Manual therapy, dry needling for trigger points, and physical modalities to reduce guarding enough for you to move.
- 3
Restoring movement
Very gradual exercise progression. With chronic pain, increasing activity too quickly brings symptoms back — the pacing is not optional.
- 4
Changing daily load
Sitting, working and sleeping posture. Most recurring neck and back pain returns because of a daily habit that never changed.
Frequently asked questions
I tried physiotherapy before and it did not work. Why try again?
Most unsuccessful programmes were pain-relief sessions without a precise diagnosis or without graded exercise. We start with an assessment that identifies the actual source before any session.
Do I need an MRI?
Not always. Much back pain needs no imaging, and MRI often shows age-related changes unrelated to the pain. We will tell you if your case genuinely needs it.
When will I feel a difference?
Most patients notice a change within 3 to 6 sessions. If there is no improvement by then, we reassess rather than continue the same plan.
