Therapeutic Exercise

An exercise programme built for your specific case — to rebuild strength, correct posture, and prevent the injury recurring.

About this service

Therapeutic exercise is what makes treatment results last after the sessions end. What separates it from ordinary training is that it is graded and calculated for your condition: exercise selection, repetitions and resistance all follow from an assessment, and are adjusted weekly based on your response.

Conditions we treat

  • Weakness in muscles surrounding a joint
  • Muscle imbalance and poor posture
  • Repeated injury in the same place
  • Back and neck pain related to prolonged sitting
  • Poor balance and fall risk in older adults
  • Core weakness after pregnancy and delivery

How treatment works

  1. 1

    Measuring the baseline

Strength, flexibility and balance testing to establish exactly where you are — so progress is measured in numbers, not impressions.

  2. 2

    A tailored programme

Exercises chosen for your specific case, with hands-on coaching of correct technique and immediate correction of errors.

  3. 3

    Progression

Load increased gradually at a calculated rate. Too fast brings pain back; too slow produces no result.

  4. 4

    Home programme

Clear exercises to do between sessions. Most of the improvement happens there, not in the session itself.

Frequently asked questions

Why not just follow exercises from the internet?

An exercise that suits one condition can aggravate another with identical symptoms. The difference is in the diagnosis and the progression, not the exercise.

Do I need a gym?

Most programmes use body weight and simple equipment at home. Where a case needs machines, they are available at the clinic.

Do I have to keep doing this forever?

The treatment phase has an end point. After it you are left with a short maintenance programme to hold the result and prevent relapse.
