Therapeutic Massage
Clinical massage to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, and speed recovery after physical exertion.
About this service
Therapeutic massage differs from ordinary relaxation massage: it follows an examination and targets specific muscles with chosen techniques and measured pressure. It improves blood flow to the muscle, reduces tension, and speeds athletic recovery after exertion.

Conditions we treat
- Chronic tension in the neck and shoulders
- Athletic recovery after training or matches
- Muscle stiffness from prolonged sitting
- Poor peripheral circulation
- Soft tissue adhesions
- Muscle tension associated with stress
How treatment works
- 1
Examination
Identifying which muscles are genuinely tight and where the tension originates, rather than massaging the whole back generically.
- 2
The session
Techniques varied by goal — deeper pressure for adhesions, faster lighter work for athletic recovery.
- 3
Stretching
Targeted stretching immediately afterwards, while the muscle is most responsive.
- 4
Daily advice
Sitting and sleeping posture and movement breaks — chronic tension returns if the daily cause does not change.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a spa massage?
Therapeutic massage is delivered by a physiotherapist following a clinical examination, targets a specific problem, and forms part of a treatment plan rather than being a relaxation session.
Is deeper pressure better?
Not always. Excessive pressure on an inflamed muscle can worsen symptoms. Appropriate intensity is determined by the state of the tissue.
How often should I have it?
For clinical cases, usually weekly at first. For athletes it is scheduled around training and competition.
